My name is Robert and I am 37 years old. I have a wonderful wife named Debra, and we have 2 sons together.

My Conversion
In June of 2004, I came to call upon Jesus to be my Lord and Savior. Although I was raised attending church, and believing in God, I was not a true Christian. My younger brother became a “Born-Again” Christian, and then began to talk to me about my soul and my salvation. But it was not until after I began reading the “Left Behind” series that I began to wonder if I too needed to be saved, to receive forgiveness for all of my sins, which I knew there were too many to be counted. So on the motel room floor I knelt, and then I laid face down feeling as if I could not go low enough, and I prayed to Jesus, and turned over my life to God.

Assurance
My assurance is based on scriptures such as these:

When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.  (Mark 2:17)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  (John 3:16)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  (John 14:6)

My Walk with the Lord
My walk, like many Christians, has highs and lows, but no matter what, no matter where, no matter when, I have found the grace of God to be entirely sufficient. The difference that God has made in my life is evidenced by the observation by my oldest son to my wife when he was 3 years old, “Mommy, I like daddy more now that he loves Jesus”.

The Bible
I believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God, written by God's chosen to provide for us His truth and His guidance.

Witnessing
I believe it is necessary to share my faith with the world around me, and sometimes I even use words.

Hobbies
I enjoy basketball and football, cooking, reading, drawing and building things with my hands. I enjoy computers and video games, fishing, Labrador retrievers and spending time with family and friends. If you ask anyone who knows me, I really enjoy a great cup of coffee as well.

Goals
It is the desire of my heart to grow into a closer relationship with God, becoming more like Jesus. I desire to walk in the light and in truth as the Lord is light and truth. My immediate goal is to read through the Bible 2 times this year, and to make myself more available to serve the Lord as He sees fit.
